My students are in a Plant Science program at an inner-city school. As part of their curriculum, they help maintain a large veggie garden, a perennial pollinator garden, an herb garden, and a flower garden. They also maintain their own personal garden in the form of container gardening.
One of our challenges is starting seeds. These grow lights would help us start seeds more effectively by enabling us to start them inside our classroom rather than outdoors where gemination is more variable. This would also enable us to set up a grow light setup indoors that would allow students to experiment with seed germination.
