My students struggle with bridging the gap between what they know and reaching understanding and mastery of the standards they need to know in the 6th grade. Some of the standards, but not all, I will be addressing with these workbooks and games are CCSS.Math.Content.6.RP, NS, EE, G, and SP. I did my best to find materials that could help them approach these standards and achieve mastery.
I know that students are capable of anything they set their minds to, even if the task seems impossible. Sometimes they need to see that they can do the basics of the skill, other times they need motivation to accomplish something. Once they want to do something for themselves, real learning can take place.
