This year we were asked in Kindergarten to add dramatic play to our classrooms because it promotes learning. All of these items will help promote dramatic play, which helps with things like sharing and communication on top of children using their imaginations. This is why I picked out a verity of items like the kitchen, babies, cleaning, dress-up, and cars. I want to make sure my students are getting the best first experience to their school career. With 90% of my students not having pre-k this will help fulfill standards they missed in pre-k and standards in Kindergarten. My project supports learning standards L.k.1 because they are going to need to demonstrate command of the conversation and show English grammar when speaking. SL.k.6 because they will speak audibly and express thoughts, feeling, and ideas clearly. SS.k.1: with prompting and support, generate compelling questions to explore how learning and working together builds a classroom community.
