Due to the impact of the pandemic my students use their Chromebooks daily to complete educational assignments in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Our school uses reading and math programs that are completely digital. The students need their Chromebook to take assessments and review lessons. We also use our Chromebooks to do research and group assignments. Many students are coming to school with their Chromebooks not fully charged, which causes them stress when trying to complete an assignment. My students are also required to bring a fully charged Chromebook to their specialists classes as well. A Chromebook cart would ensure that our devices are safely stored and fully charged each day. A Chromebook cart would ensure that our devices are safely stored and fully charged each day. Currently, my students are taking their Chromebook home and charging them overnight, as I do not have the capacity to charge 32 Chromebook from my outlet charging strips. This leads to students not having a fully charged Chromebook, forgetting their Chromebook at home, and/or losing their charger. With this Chromebook cart, our problems would be solved! I believe this cart would be an awesome addition to our classroom by giving my students more time to focus on their assignments. Every ELA, math, science, and social studies standards would benefit from a fully charged Chromebooks.
