My special education students need access to engaging books. On the first day of school, I asked them to share their favorite books. Not one student had a favorite book! I was surprised and sad. It made me realize that I needed to expose them to exciting books that will inspire them and build their love for reading. One of the first books we read was "The Three Little SUPERPIGS". They still talk about it and ask me if I have anymore books like that. My goal is to get my students excited and talking about books!
Reading takes you on adventures and I want to bring my students along!
My students are ready to learn and soak up every experience in my classroom. I want to expand my resources to support their education and foster a love of books. My students live in an underprivileged, urban community. They do not have access to many resources. Please support my vision and my students.
