My students need headphones for interactive lessons. We use laptops in class for a variety of learning activities. We also use them when we break into small groups. Since the pandemic is going on we have days where we teach virtually. Our school is also predominantly Hispanic. Many students have English as a second language and many are English learners. The many programs we use help with reading and speaking skills. All students benefit from interactive lessons on their laptops.
Having reliable headphones for all students would be a big help. Students can't hear when everyone is working at the same time. Having headphones can also help when students are working from home. Being able to tune out the house noise and focus on school is a big help. Being able to hear is always important.
