These headphones will be used to provide text-to-speech test accommodations, block out some distracting noises and allow students to listen to music while they work.
My students ask me on a daily basis if they can listen to music while they work. Music can help them focus, bring them joy, and gives them some autonomy: which can be hard to find in this COVID world. It brings a personal touch to their independent work time.
These headphones will also be used to provide text-to-speech testing accommodations for special needs students and English language learners which helps these students to truly show what they know on tests and thrive in the classroom.
