This collection of picture books will help my students nurture their love of the written word. I have chosen picture books that will lend themselves to great discussions of diversity, struggle, aging, and love. Books are gifts that you can open again and again. I hope that this collection of books will be read again and again by my current class and by hundreds of students in the future. There is nothing like opening a new, beautifully illustrated storybook and sharing your love of that book with students. It is one of the best gifts a teacher can give!
