My students will benefit from these products because of the speaking and listening standards SL.K.1, SL.K.5, SL.K.6, and K.CC.5.
Social-emotional learning is an important part of a child's development. The SL.K standards are about speaking and listening, which is what my students need. They need to learn to work together. The kitchen and pretend food will allow students to work together to make a functioning kitchen.
The math standard K.CC.5 is about counting how many. The manipulatives in my project will help with counting using different materials! The students will be able to explore using different objects for everyday math.
