I notice many students are struggling with fine motor skills. Building with LEGOs will help with spatial awareness. Programming a robot will enhance their problem solving skills.
Crime Scene Investigation is a favorite among my students! They love collecting and analyzing data and using deductive reasoning skills to find the guilty party.
All of these products are tied in with Next Generation Science Standards. One main focus of these standards is engineering, which fits perfectly with the Design Thinking Challenge where students Empathize, Define, Ideate, build and test Prototypes. As a gifted educator, I strive to challenge my students every day.
