For my youngest learners and newcomers, I’m requesting engaging nonfiction books. These books help students develop vocabulary about things they find interesting. We use these books for vocabulary development, reading skills, and writing activities. Language learning is interactive, noisy, and engaging. Students need to respond to what they are reading and learning by writing in a variety of formats. Students write, share their writing and together we help each other learn and improve. The various writing papers will help us do that. The two digital cameras will also be used by students to create photo essays and share their writing digitally.

About my class
