With the Book Nook, we seek to create a culture of reading in our school! The Book Nook will provide our students a safe, comforting environment filled with books in various genres and reading levels. With this grant, we will create a room with flexible seating, appropriate lighting, and an abundance of books. Students will be able to read in the Book Nook during their Tiger Hour lunch block and during any off periods.
Students will choose books that interest them to increase their reading comprehension and love for reading. This in turn will increase their confidence, close learning gaps, and help them grow into student leaders.
