I constantly struggle to ensure that students have pencils and calculators to use during class. Everybody has cell phones but, unfortunately, these are not allowed during tests.
Not only do I constantly need to make sure my students have pencils and calculators but I also struggle to maintain my own supply of dry erase white board markers--I often go through one a day and the cost adds up fast. If I had more support with the basic needs of my students I could focus on buying better class art work and inspirational posters.
