We will be able to complete at least 4 projects in a year with all students and several more with my shared advisory groups. The projects allow students to collaborate and give directions using ELA Speaking & Listening standard 7.1 & ELA Language Standard 7.3. Writing assignments and class celebrations can be planned around these activities making them a win-win for all. Creating with other students is strategy for improving social and emotional health. Projects also teach life skills that many are not getting at home. I hope to complete meaningful projects and further connect with my students.
