With new curriculum comes new obstacles to overcome. The new phonics curriculum that our school has adopted is beyond amazing and is fun and engaging for the students, however, EVERYTHING is magnetic. I love having magnetic materials but it becomes tricky with no magnetic boards in the classroom. I have tried my best to become creative with the small easel I have that is magnetic but I know there are some students in the back of my class that are not getting the full effects of the lesson. By donating to our project you would be providing every student the ability to become stronger and more confident learners. Students will be able to continuously look back and use their resources and throughout the day. All students need to be able to have access to and use the phonics resources in every subject throughout the day to practice their reading and writing skills. Having a large magnetic whiteboard would make this possible.
