Most of my students did not have the opportunity to attend preschool due to the worldwide pandemic. These items are the materials needed to better complete our classroom so students can grow socially, emotionally, and academically through play and exploration.
Some of the materials needed are magnetic tiles, a tub of animals, and a pet vet center. These will help students learn and grow through imaginative play and teach them how to take turns, work together, and build a friendship among peers.
As my students are learning through exploration, the Flex-Space Comfy Round Classroom Carpet and Wobble chairs will give them the space and comfortable environment to learn while building these social and life skills.
The Giant Alphabet Beads, Alphabet Stamps—uppercase and lowercase, and Build-A-Word Crayon Boxes are all materials needed for students to learn their letters and sounds using different tactile ways. These items will help students explore letters and build words through materials that are fun and hands-on will guide my students in support of their standards (L.K.1.a, RF.K.1, RF.K.2, RF.K.3) to learning all 26 letters and their letter sounds.
The Magnetic Numbers Counters and Jumbo Magnetic Ten-Frames will aid my students in more intentional math instruction and give them the hands-on experience to explore numbers through their standard (K.CC.A.3, K.OA.A) of learning numbers 0-20 and addition.
Lastly, a Giant Magnetic Early Writing Page will guide my students in the direction of letter and word formation. Having this writing page will give students the opportunity to explore the importance of writing and work towards their standard (L.K.2, L.K.1.f ) of writing three sentences by the end of the year.
