My students come to me first thing every morning to select a "fidget" that they can use at their seat, in the classroom, to squeeze or twist or flip whenever they begin to feel anxious, nervous or triggered. If they feel the need to get up and move, or are feeling unfocused, they use their fidget to get themselves back on track and keep learning without having to leave the room, or become a distraction to the other students.
These little hand- held items are my students' number one coping mechanism for maintaining focus and alleviating stress. Unfortunately, they are often misplaced or forgotten throughout the day and don't always make it back to me at the end of the day. My stock of fidgets is dwindling fast, and I am in desperate need of more. Please help me restock!
