We will use these books as read alouds, just-right books for independent reading, and as mentor texts for our writing lessons and projects. I will allow students to check the books out for reading at school or at home because many of my students have told me that they don’t have any books if their own at home. I also gift books to students for birthdays and Christmas. I take each and every opportunity I have to put a good book in the hands of my fourth graders. We love reading!
