This rug will assist students in the speaking and listening standards. It will also help them collaborate to solve math problems (numbers and operations and algebraic thinking) as well as discuss the elements of a story and its structure (beginning, middle, end, setting, characters, plot, and solution). It is also a great location for a rotation in our daily 5 during ELA.
Currently the students are sitting on the floor however the rug with the spots will allow them to find their spot and stay on it while keeping on task!
