First graders are just learning how to use technology and compose their thoughts through writing (W.1.6 With guidance and support from adults, use a variety of digital tools to produce and publish writing, including in collaboration with peers.) By having classroom access to laptop computers, students will be able to not only access language arts and math games on approved sites but they will also be able to publish their writing. Ensuring students are confident and capable in their technology skills will set them up for success in subsequent grades.
