Computer Science 5.AP.M.1: Demonstrate how to decompose a task of complexity into simple tasks and compose a simple task into tasks of complexity.
The students have started building their passion and understanding for science and I would love to introduce them to coding with hands-on projects in addition to code.org.
I have used Makeblock, Snap Circuits and Cubelets in other settings with children and know they work and the students enjoy using them. I look for things that are student lead so they can choose when to experiment at school.
