The classroom furniture is to allow students to collaborate in centers. Having a more comfortable environment where students can focus on the assignment instead of constantly rearranging desks. The furniture also will be used for a 'cool down' corner for students who may become upset or angry during the day. Frequently students at my school carry their home burdens to school and do not know yet how to communicate when they are upset. Therefore, a 'cool down' corner would be a useful area for those students to regroup and get back to work. The snacks are for students who may come to school late and have missed breakfast or students who need a snack before they go home. Food insecurity is common at my school.
