The Elmo Document Camera is a game changer in a classroom. Currently when we review homework or I am giving instructions, I tell them to go to a particular page or look at #7. With the Elmo Document Camera, I can project the page or the question number, they can see what I am asking them to do, and we can complete it together.
I am a science teacher and we do quite a bit of labeling and identifying. I say, "See the third line from the bottom left, write enzyme on that line." With the Elmo, I will be able to project the paper and write enzyme on the line where it goes and they can do the same. I often have to repeat instructions because some of them can't follow along with what I am telling them to do without actually seeing it. Of course I go to their desks and show them, but it takes quite a bit of time if there are several students who don't understand. I have to go all over the room showing each one of them. With the Elmo, every student will see what I am telling them.
