The headphones will be used to help the students stay focused on their digital assignments with fewer distractions. They will be more engaged in their learning rather than what is going on around them.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books at their own level. Due to Covid, there is definitely a learning gap for many of my students. There are some students who did not hold an actual paper book during their time away from the school building. I'd like to have more books available and organized for them to have more of a selection and get to the place where they want to read because they enjoy it. The more exposure they have to a variety of books, the more likely they will meet RL2.10.
The use of whiteboards is standard in my classroom, however, during math the students struggle to draw some of the strategies we use, such as number lines. Having the ten frames and number line already drawn for them will allow for more time to practice. The hundreds chart on the back of the whiteboard is just an added bonus.
