My third graders have not had an in-person school year since kindergarten. They have been mostly online and are in need of more hands-on learning now that they are fully back in the classroom. These requested hands-on manipulative materials will greatly benefit them in math and science. Most of these have class sets, but we will sanitize the items that must be shared after each user.
I greatly appreciate your support in my students' readjustment to in-person learning. My students would be ecstatic to hear that they are going to be having more manipulatives and realia to accompany their textbooks and Chromebooks!
Note: The whiteboard erasers and book bins are not attached to a standard, but will benefit students on all standards because they will help students to stay organized and to use their whiteboards.
3.OA.A.1 - Interpret products of whole numbers.
3.OA.A.2 - Interpret whole-number quotients of whole numbers.
3.NBT.A.2 - Fluently add and subtract within 1000.
3.NF.A.2 - Understand a fraction as a number on the number line.
3.MD.A.2 - Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units.
3-PS2-2 : Make observations and/or measurements of an object’s motion to provide evidence that a pattern can be used to predict future motion.
3-PS2-3: Ask questions to determine cause and effect relationships of electric or magnetic interactions between two objects not in contact with each other.
3-PS2-1: Plan and conduct an investigation to provide evidence of the effects of balanced and unbalanced forces on the motion of an object.
3-LS4-1. Analyze and interpret data from fossils to provide evidence of the organisms and the environments in which they lived long ago.
3-LS1-1. Develop models to describe that organisms have unique and diverse life cycles but all have in common birth, growth, reproduction, and death.
