Headsets with microphones will assist language learners in my school in developing their English and speaking skills by allowing them to record verbal responses to academic questions. Listening to their own responses combined with teacher feedback will help them improve their language acquisition, and their overall literacy skills. When literacy skills improve, students will demonstrate more success in comprehending all Nevada Academic Content Standards in all subject areas. Additionally, when students strengthen their English skills, they will be able to interact with more of their peers, which will help them build important relationships that will lend to their academic and social development. Other items in my project (chart paper, markers, printer toner, etc.) will help to create visual anchor charts to supports all learners.
