My students come from a low income neighborhood and have spent the majority of their lives in a pandemic. They are behind socially, emotionally, behaviorally, and academically. These resources will help my students develop their reading, writing, math, and science skills.
These resources are going to give my students the comfort desperately needed for our reading center and the chair pockets will give my students the space needed to hold their individual items as we have tables and not desks.
Our student learning goal is counting objects and writing the numbers 0-20. The math resources will help us master our SLG.
Last, the butterfly growing kit is for our science unit on the butterfly life cycle. Science is lacking in our school and I want to ensure my students get as much science as possible.
The standards that these resources will hit are:
K.CC.A.3 Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
L.K.1a Print many upper- and lowercase letters.
