Students in my classroom work in small collaborative groups throughout the day and the rug will help to create another space in the classroom where students can gather, sit comfortably, and share their ideas with each other as they work together.
The library corner is a special favorite in our classroom, but the hard linoleum floor makes this corner of the classroom a much less comfortable place to sit and talk with classmates, settle in to read a good book or play a quiet math game together. The floor rug will make this sought-out location an even easier place for students to get down to reading, working, or collaborating even faster.
