In World History for 8th grade there are a lot of standards in regards to geography. Tracing paper and colored pencils are for them to create maps of real geographical locations. Markers and construction paper are for hand-created projects. A lot of the learning is about comparing and contrasting different ancient civilizations. The cricut would be used to help create a positive and safe environment in my classroom by cutting out positive affirmations in a nice design and post it on my walls of the classroom. Posters and the like that foster a good social emotional state in the scholars.
One standard in particular these supplies would help them learn is: SS.6-8.WGGS.27. (CS) - Utilize and construct maps, charts, and other geographic representations to explain and analyze regional, environmental, and cultural characteristics of various places around the world.
