My school is a specially designed campus with a focus on supporting and modifying student behavior. Our kids have struggled to succeed in larger comprehensive schools and have been removed from this more restrictive environment. The small size and nature of our school mean that we have limited funding for science lab supplies and I often have to get creative so that my students can enjoy even of a fraction of the typical high school science experience. COVID-19 has made this already difficult situation worse by interfering with many of the fundraising opportunities available to me and causing shortages of the supplies I can afford.
This project will support better science education for my students by ensuring they have access to the same basic lab supplies that are available on every comprehensive campus.
