My students have specific disabilities, reading aloud helps them a lot to understand. Due to the pandemic, they cannot share a headphone. Having their own headphone is a big help for them in school and also doing homework at home.
My students learn more when activities are read aloud to them including the instruction, and sometimes including the questions. They use this accommodation when they are working on their assignments, homework, and test.
My students are struggling financially, and the pandemic added to the problem their family is facing. Buying their food is their priority than the headphone.
