As a special education teacher who teaches students with behavior issues during instruction my students need positive reinforcement to ensure that they are acting appropriately during school hours. To do this students receive stickers that turn into a trip to my "prize box". Many of the items I have listed in the project including the headphones will be used for students to use applications such as "co-writer" to help accommodate students to give them the assistance they need to complete class work. As well as in social skills lessons my students benefit from hands-on activities such as games where they can see everyday life scenarios and the appropriate way to respond. The rollercoaster emotions game will help meet that need for my very special students.
This project will help fund prizes that will be used to help ensure our students are getting positive reinforcement and obtain activities that will benefit them not just in school but in daily life.
Also this project will help fund activities that can be used in social skills to help the students gain the appropriate skills needed not just in school but in life.
