The products that I have selected will help my students learn the foundational skills needed to learn how to be successful readers. The materials are hands-on activities that can be used during small group intervention and during independent learning. The activities will be used to teach and reinforce phonics, phonemic awareness, decoding, and encoding skills. The materials are going to be used during literacy stations where students explore the materials and work in small groups. The following are some of the major standards that the materials that I chose will cover:
