The use of a white board and anchor charts are a daily activity within my classroom. With using a white board and anchor chart it is so important that students can be able to see and interact with what I’m writing. This is very hands-on and also a visual aid for my students for important instruction. What becomes a problem is that I’m very limited on white board space and where I can draw up my anchor charts with my students. This leads to me making up the anchor chart and walking around the room with it. This is very hard to do and most students work diligently to write the information, but it can be very overwhelming for them to do.
What I would like to have within the classroom is an anchor chart/whiteboard stand. This would help the students to not only see the anchor charts, but to be able to come up create, show and share their answers. This creates a way for students to be more engaged and allows for hands-on learning.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve hands-on learning and visuals aids, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
