I am a new teacher and while I inherited a small library from a past teacher, the books are outdated and not what the kids are currently interested in. By supporting me, this will help me build my classroom library and engage the reluctant readers that I am working with on a daily basis. Class books are expensive, but I believe one of the best ways to engage students is to help them find topics they are interested in. This not only makes them more willing to read, but also helps me as a teacher to connect to them, what they love, and what is going on in their lives.
