The colored pencils, crayons, and classroom organizers will help students succeed in creating various art projects. One art project that we are working on now celebrates National Hispanic Culture month by learning about different cultures and Latino artists. We are currently working on a project inspired by Frida Kahlo. We have learned about her life and how her culture influenced her artwork. We are doing this by creating self-portraits. Students are learning about facial proportions, and how to use art materials successfully especially colored pencils and watercolors for their portraits.
