The items I selected will help meet NV ELASCS 7.0/8.0. Students will be able to increase their early language skills necessary for classroom participation by requesting, answering questions, commenting, and expanding their utterances using low tech communication devices, interactive toys, books, and manipulatives.
The color printer will help me to print color pictures for my students to use in communication books. I will be able to print multiple copies for home and school, so that these pictures can be used in all the students' communication settings. It will also give each student their own copy to reduce sharing of materials during the COVID pandemic.
The Go Talk will be extremely helpful in allowing non-verbal or limited communicators the ability to participate in classroom stories, songs, and activities using a pre-recorded message. It will also provide additional models of verbal communication.
