The technology that I am requesting for my classroom is to help provide support for students in both reading and math. The tablets would be used as a center where students could incorporate technology, learn 21st-century skills, and they can use school-approved Apps to help promote growth in reading and math.
Students will be working on growing in all Nevada academic State Standards through Learning A-Z and Dreambox. Two specific state standards that will be addressed are 2.NBT.B.5- to add and subtract fluently with numbers up to 100 for math and RL.2.2- I can recount stories and determine the central message. With technology in the classroom, students will be able to continue to work on standards that they are not proficient in due to the impact of COVID and learn through engaging apps that can help guide students to master the standards!
