The use of STEM toys will help ELL students with speaking and listening skills. Speaking is an important skill my students need to develop in order to to succeed in school. More than 90% of my students are English Language Learners (ELL), and they will benefit from creating and playing with these toys. When playing with peers, students will have conversations with each other and improve both listening and speaking skills. It is important for students to be engaged in order to retain more information while learning new skills and concepts. Play is a great way for young children to be engaged, and these toys will help them to stay motivated for new learning.
