My students come from low income families and struggle to bring regular supplies to class. This has an adverse effect on their learning. In addition, it makes math seem horrible, since they cannot participate in it nor understand it. The supplies asked for will help close the materials gap and then close the learning gap. We will use the materials to work together as a whole group, break up into smaller groups, and have a chance for everyone to answer at once. This will, in turn, create a community of learners.
