Journals will help my students make their learning concrete, share ideas, record what they are passionate about, and become confident writers. I plan to use these every morning to start my day with a different and unique quick write prompt for my students to engage with. Students will use their journals every morning, and will have the opportunity to share their ideas with the class. The journal writing will support their social-emotional learning and their writing proficiency.
I have a large class size and our chairs make a lot of noise on the tile floor. The chair socks will be extremely helpful during transitions when students are trying to be polite and push their chairs in for me.
