These resources will provide a range of opportunities for my students. As 2nd grades missing out of in person learning for majority of their time in school, my students struggle to sit in the classroom and focusing. I believe the flexible seating will promote positive learning habits and will keep sitting at their desks or on the carpet interesting and entertaining. My students also struggle with their emotions and frequently get upset in the classroom where they miss their families. A cuddle ball, reflection workbook and gel sensory items will help my students cope with their emotions while they go in the cool down center. The math and language workbooks will be given as extra practice to be done at home and at school if their are early finishers. I also want to grow my library for my students so they have opportunities and options to read books when given time. These resources will continue to support my students in learning and reaching the NVACS. Some of the standards these will help meet are W.2.3, Foundational skills, phonics and word recognition skills RF.2,a.b.c.d.e.f, 2.OA.2.NBT,2.G,2.MD and much more. These resources will help students in building their language skills and math skills that are given through our curriculum. These resources are going to be used throughout the year to help my students grow their brains and meet all of the key standards throughout the learning of COVID and for many years to come after this one.
