These resources will help promote academic content by inspiring children to read and love reading. Everything that I selected is devoted to building a community that embraces acceptance, equity, and teamwork. Graphic novels, non-fiction texts, and picture books can inspire children to love reading. That is my goal after the COVID pandemic. Children need to learn how to sit and enjoy a book while understanding its plot and theme. Every child deserves access to books that allow them to make incredible connections to their life. Academic standards being met with texts: RL2.2, RL2.3, RL2.6, RI2.3, RI2.5, SS.2.11, SS.2.14, SS.2.15, and many more.
