The resources selected for my project help support my students with many standards, especially standard ELA-LITERACY.RI.6.10. In this standard, utilizing scaffolding to help my students allows me to provide my students with what they need to be their personal best.
The resources included in this project will help me provide my students with a safe, comfortable learning environment that allows them to focus on their academics. Many of my students come to school without such simple things as pencils to complete their assignments with or bookmarks to keep their place in their novel selection. They are also struggling to keep their masks sanitary and often wear the same disposable mask for weeks at a time, or until they fall apart.
As an added scaffolding effort, having standing desks allows my kiddos with ADHD an opportunity to stand and work which helps them focus on developing their skills while "getting their wiggles out".
