These books will be provided for students' use at school and at home. Having a variety of books to chose from written by authors who represent their culture and background will give them a sense of belonging in a new culture that they must take as their own as well. They will be able to enjoy reading as they connect with the characters as they relate their own life experiences with those of the characters such as, "No Somos De Aqui". My students will learn that they to can succeed even though things may seem hard.
