Most of my students have multiple impairments and have a modified curriculum that addresses the Nevada Content Standards based on their abilities and level of cognitive functioning. By having theses materials, I will be able to offer more variety and choices for my students. Toys with switches will teach them about environmental control and help build gross and fine motor skills. Plus, these toys provide opportunities for self-generated, active engagement. Many of my students have physical challenges that give them limited control over their environment. Through use of these toys, students will be able to learn that control can be possible. In addition these adapted toys are fun and help motivate learning. Students will now be able to play with the same toys as their peers, creating commonality for forming relationships
