I started my career as a speech-language therapist virtually during the pandemic. Most of my current materials are electronic. This project will help me as a new speech-language therapist build my therapy materials and reinforcers to keep my students engaged and provide them with hands-on learning experiences. I have selected materials such as a Picture Exchange Communication Book which will give my nonverbal students a voice by giving them the ability to communicate and interact during sessions using pictures. (SL.K.1-SL.12.1) (RL.K.4-RL.11-12.4). I have selected a color printer so I can print and make books to use in my classroom as well as books with manipulatives to bring literacy alive for my students. I have selected sensory bins to provide hands-on learning experiences. Lastly, I have selected fidget items to use as behavior reinforcers to help keep my students engaged and learning.
