The items I have selected will help me address the social-emotional needs of my students. Many of my students have been staying home during Covid, they are lacking many of the skills needed to work with others. By addressing students' SEL needs with play-based learning options I will be able to build a sense of community within our classroom. These ideas will help the students see that the world is full of diverse learners, diverse needs, and diverse skills. These items will also address the issue of lack of fine motor skills.

These items go beyond content and help students connect with the world around them. They help them use their imagination in a way that many students do not have the opportunity, all of these materials will take them off of technology and immerse them in a world of imagination, language, and friendship building.
