My students are truly bored with reading traditional materials. They say the events and characters in those stories don't mean anything to them. I have some Black Panther posters in my room and they never get tired of talking about them.
When I ask them what they want to read about, they always say "Black Panther!" We are fortunate that the recent movie brought some truly incredible authors into creation of these graphic novels and I do believe these books will help me teach them what a wonderful experience reading can be!
