Many of my students are reading below grade level and require intense small group reading instruction in order to grow. I plan to use the books to help meet the reading needs of my students where they are at in order to help bring them up to where they need to be. These books will be used in small reading groups. This addresses the Reading Standard of 4.RI.10. My small groups consist of no more than 6 students at a time. During small groups, we read and discuss books at my students level to help them build comprehension.
